Five Star at The Big One
June 19th-20th, 2026 • ASCS National Tour / ASCS Midwest Tour 360 Sprint Cars • Belleville High Banks Speedway • Belleville, KS
Trackside Recap with Dan Robinson
At The Big One at Belleville High Banks Speedway, Five Star showcased its full Sprint Car display at a 360 Sprint Car event for the first time, generating strong interest from drivers and teams eager to compare the three available body options and learn more about their weight, materials, cost, and universal chassis fitment. Many conversations centered around airflow through the hood, giving the team an opportunity to explain how ongoing CFD analysis and on-track testing continue to refine cooling performance while maintaining optimal aerodynamics. Dan Robinson also spent time with longtime ASCS competitor and Triple X Chassis representative Matt Covington, discussing the new body package and the growing interest surrounding Five Star’s sprint car program. Cost and durability remained top priorities for racers, with the Cup Carbon Composite Blend attracting significant attention as a lightweight, high-performance option that offers many of the benefits of prepreg carbon at a more affordable price point. As the weekend progressed, teams became increasingly comfortable stopping by the display, leading to valuable conversations and a steady distribution of product catalogs. While no sprint cars in attendance were yet running Five Star bodies, several B-Mod competitors showcased MD3 Dirt Modified body panels, reinforcing the brand’s strong presence in grassroots racing. The historic, high-speed nature of Belleville High Banks Speedway made it an ideal venue to demonstrate the aerodynamic advantages of the Five Star Sprint Car body, and the team expects to see increased adoption at future ASCS events. Looking ahead, the Road Tour returns to Wilmot Speedway for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car weekend, where Five Star will continue engaging racers, restocking popular apparel, and showcasing its expanding sprint car lineup.
