Five Star at the Larry Hillerud Memorial
July 10th-11th, 2026 • World of Outlaws Sprint Cars • Wilmot Raceway • Wilmot, WI
Trackside Recap with Dan Robinson
At the Larry Hillerud Memorial at Wilmot Raceway, Five Star’s Sprint Car display attracted a steady stream of racers, teams, and fans eager to examine the new body package up close. With Wilmot serving as a hub for both Winged 410 and WingLESS Sprint Car racing, visitors came prepared with detailed questions about chassis compatibility, weight, pricing, and fitment across popular platforms including Triple X, Maxim, J&J, and DRC. Valuable technical discussions also took place between Five Star’s engineering team and Barry Jackson of CJB Motorsports, focusing on engine inlet and outlet airflow, wing dynamics, and additional aerodynamic refinements that will continue shaping the evolution of the Sprint Car body package. The event also marked the debut of Five Star’s expanded merchandise lineup, featuring new performance hats and lightweight long-sleeve hoodies, along with the convenience of accepting both cash and credit card payments at the booth. Dan Robinson spent time reconnecting with longtime Wilmot standout Tim Cox, who plans to transition his Wisconsin WingLESS Sprint Car to the Five Star body for the 2027 season. As teams continue searching for every competitive advantage, the importance of aerodynamics remained a dominant topic throughout the weekend, reinforcing the value of continued engineering and on-track testing. Wilmot’s status as Five Star’s hometown track made the event especially meaningful, with company ownership, employees, racers, and fans all sharing in the excitement of seeing locally designed products competing at the highest level. Sprint Car competitors Colin Sivia and Chris Klemko showcased Five Star bodies with standout graphics and installation quality, while Saturday night's thrilling World of Outlaws feature between Garrett Williamson and Sheldon Haudenschild provided an unforgettable finish to an outstanding weekend. Looking ahead, the Road Tour heads to Eldora Speedway for Kings Royal week, where Five Star will introduce its Sprint Car lineup to one of the largest and most prestigious sprint car crowds in the country.
