Five Star at the Midwest Motorsports Expo
March 14th, 2026 • Mayo Civic Center • Rochester, MN
Trackside Recap with Dan Robinson
At our latest Road Tour stop, it was clear build season is in full swing up north. Hood scoops for Modifieds
and Stock Cars stole the show—selling out completely—while clecos and pliers moved fast as racers
geared up for the season ahead. Teams were dialed in on practical performance, asking about Dirt Late Model and
Modified plastic quarter panels and adhesion promoter to ensure they’re race-ready for 2026. The crowd
brought a wide range of needs—from Mustang IMCA Stock Car bodies to Bonneville Salt Flats window
projects—highlighting the diversity of grassroots racing. Cost and durability remain top priorities, and
racers continue to respond strongly to the MD3 lineup for its balance of value and longevity. This stop also
marked our first time using the Sprinter van and trackside display as a mobile booth, creating a more personal,
accessible experience for regional racers who don’t always make it to larger shows. We appreciated the
hospitality shown by event hosts Wehrs Machine and Kevko Racing. One standout moment came from a young IMCA
Camaro racer who shared how her Five Star body held up through a rollover—real-world proof of performance
when it matters most.
