Trackside Recap with Dan Robinson
At the Topless 100 in Batesville, despite temperatures hovering around 100 degrees, our prime location drew steady traffic all weekend. AVEX Style Rivets were the standout product, nearly selling out as more racers and fans sought out our van after hearing about our setup. What started as casual conversations often turned into sales of rivets, T-shirts, and Hood Scoops, proving the value of face-to-face engagement in a new region. A highlight was connecting with BJ Robinson, Ronnie Stuckey, and Clayton Stuckey of Stuckey Enterprises, who have recently shifted their program from Black Diamond to Longhorn by Stuckey. With their first Longhorn builds underway, they were eager to talk about MD3 parts like Nose Filler Panels, Roofs, and Hoods, setting the stage for future collaboration. The Topless format itself made the event unique—no roofs, giving fans a clear view of the drivers in action at a track naturally set down in a bowl. While we pride ourselves on producing the industry’s lightest and strongest dirt late model roofs, this was one of the rare times most of the field didn’t run them. The weekend also brought some tense moments, including hard crashes for Garrett Alberson and Daulton Wilson, but it was a relief to see both drivers walk away safely. With trackside sales booming, restocking across nearly all product lines is a priority before heading into the Sooner State Showdown at Arrowhead Speedway, where both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and Comp Cams Super Dirt Series will be in action.
