Jimmy Ålund's Camaro Pro Stock sets new records in Europe!
Jimmy's 2012 Camaro was the fastest car in each qualifying rounds at the European Finals weekend at Santa Pod Raceway in Northamptonshire, England. In the third qualifying session, Jimmy broke the European Pro Stock speed record and went on to win the final! Jimmy Ålund finished 2nd in overall points for 2012 with his new Five Star Camaro Pro Stock!

Jason Line wins at O'Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Nationals.
Jason Line, near lane, visited the winner's circle in Charlotte for the first time ever when he got the better of points leader Allen Johnson in the championship round. In the odd final, both cars wiggled at the hit, but Line was able to recover quicker and win on a 7.51 to 11.80 count.
Jenkins Heads Winners List at Dragstock IX in ADRL’s Memorable Debut at zMAX Dragway
Shannon “Iceman” Jenkins has been a staple at the American Drag Racing League’s (ADRL) prestigious Dragstock race, first appearing at the event in 2005.
At the ninth rendition of the race on Saturday, Jenkins delivered another trademark performance in Pro Nitrous, this time at the ADRL’s first appearance at zMAX Dragway. “It’s a great feeling to win here and it’s great to see the sport healthy,” Jenkins said. “Racing at a track like this and being fortunate enough to win it is the greatest feeling you can ever have.”
Jenkins’ run on Saturday was one of the many highlights, as the Al-Anabi Racing driver was in classic form in the heart of doorslammer country. In picking up his 11th Pro Nitrous win in 12 final appearances, both ADRL bests, Jenkins got better as the day progressed. It started with taking the No. 1 spot in qualifying with a 3.934 in his 2012 RJ Race Cars Camaro, continued with a 3.893 in the semifinals and concluded in the finals, which was his sixth impressive run on Saturday.
“We’ve got a good hot rod now and it’s going to be good from here on out,” Jenkins said. “We got in that race mode today and I like it that way. We were able to get our rhythm going and we weren’t thinking about anything but going rounds.”

NHRA Pro Stock Winner in debut race event with the new Camaro
In early 2012 the Five Star Camaro body was chosen to be the approved Chevrolet body for the NHRA Pro Stock competition by both Chevrolet Racing and NHRA due to its close factory styling and superior aerodynamics. The body was designed by the Five Star design team under the guidance of premier Pro Stock chassis builders Rick Jones from RJ Race Cars, Jerry Haas from Jerry Haas Race Cars and Don Ness who has been involved in Pro Stock body design since 1982. Teams are beginning to race their new cars with this new body and are finding early success, like Greg Anderson’s debut win at the Toyota NHRA Supernationals in Englishtown, NJ earlier this month. The success has prompted other teams upgrade their cars for competition.
